Finnish OEM, Nokia is expected to launch about 4 Android-powered Nokia Phones and tablets in the last 3 months of 2016. This is following the expiration of its “no-compete” clause on the 30th of September, 2016 as stated in the purchase deal between it and Microsoft.
While we expect 2 of the coming Nokia Phones to be high-end (renders shown above), featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoCs, the mystery Nokia D1C would most likely be a low-mid range smartphone.
The Nokia D1C is said to have undergone Geekbench Tests (as shown above) and some specs revealed include: 3GB RAM, 1.4GHz Octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 and Android OS 7.0 on board.
No timeline has been given for an official announcement but we definitely should expect this alongside others, before the end of the year.
